Forrest Read’s practice focuses on labor and employment litigation and counsel and commercial litigation. Mr. Read represents companies defending against federal, state and local discrimination and retaliation claims, as well as various collateral state law claims. He also represents management in labor arbitrations under collective bargaining agreements. In addition, he provides advice and counsel to employers regarding compliance with federal, state and local employment laws as well as their business immigration needs. Mr. Read's commercial litigation practice focuses on shareholder, management and partnership disputes as well as actions involving commercial real estate. He has also represented companies in connection with Department of Justice compliance investigations under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
Mr. Read received his B.A. in history (American concentration) in 1996 from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where he was elected to Phi Eta Sigma national freshman honor society. He received his J.D. in 2003 from Boston University School of Law. He is a member of the District of Columbia , North Carolina and Massachusetts Bars and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for The Third Circuit.
